Ingredients
- 1 can
- chickpeas, drained
- 540 mL
- 2 cloves
- garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup
- olive oil
- 75 mL
- 1/3 cup
- tahini (sesame spread)
- 75 mL
- 3 tbsp
- lemon juice
- 45 mL
- 1/2 tsp
- salt
- 2 mL
- 1/4 tsp
- pepper
- 1 mL
- pinch paprika
- pita bread and vegetable sticks (celery, carrots, cucumbers) to serve
Directions
Step 1
In processor, combine chickpeas and garlic. Purée 30 sec., or until coarse ground. Add tahini, olive oil, 1/4 cup (60 mL) water, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Purée until smooth. Transfer to small bowl. Sprinkle with paprika. Serve with pitas and vegetables.
