Ingredients

- fresh breadcrumbs
- 250 mL
- 1 cup
- shredded Comté or Swiss cheese (approx. 4 oz/125 g)
- 250 mL
- 2 cloves
- garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp
- lemon zest
- 15 mL
- 2 tsp
- chopped thyme
- 10 mL
- ¼ tsp
- each salt and pepper
- 1 mL

- large tomatoes, cut into ¼ -in. (5 mm) slices
Directions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease 9 x 13-in. (3 L) baking dish. In bowl, combine breadcrumbs, cheese, garlic, lemon zest, thyme, salt and pepper.
Step 2
Arrange slightly overlapping tomatoes slices in single layer in prepared baking dish. Top with breadcrumb mixture.
Step 3
Bake 15 to 20 min., or until breadcrumbs are golden, cheese is melted and tomatoes are tender.
