Ingredients

1½ oz
vodka
45 mL
2 oz
chilled espresso
60 mL
1 tbsp
hot chocolate mix
15 mL
½ tsp
mint extract
2.5 mL
2 oz
lightly whipped cream (for garnish)
60 mL
1 tsp
sugar (to add to the cream garnish)
5 mL
1 tsp
chocolate sprinkles
5 mL
1
peppermint candy cane (for garnish)

Directions

Step 1

In advance, chill a martini glass, as well as a few ounces of fresh espresso.

Step 2

Add sugar to cream and whisk until it’s frothy but not stiff. Put aside while you make the cocktail.

Step 3

For the drink, add vodka, hot chocolate mix, chilled espresso and mint extract in an ice-filled cocktail tin. Shake well for 30-45 seconds.

Step 4

Strain into chilled martini glass and top with the frothy sweetened cream, swirling it in to make a marbled effect and garnish with chocolate sprinkles. Add an unwrapped peppermint candy cane to the drink.

Tip

ZERO-PROOF IT: Use chilled mint tea instead of vodka.
