Whether you prefer red or green, grapes add a crisp and refreshing bite to all types of dishes — from midday snacks to elegant cheeseboards.

Grapes add a pleasing sweet element to traditionally savoury dishes like stuffing or chicken salad. Try them roasted atop goat cheese-covered crostini. Or, toss them into a fruit salad.

When buying grapes look for ones with their dusty-looking “bloom” still intact. This pale grey film is a naturally occurring protective barrier – it means the grapes haven’t been over-handled. Store unwashed grapes in an open paper bag in the fridge for up to one week.
