Margaret Coons from Nuts for Cheese
Margaret is a passionate plant-based chef who creates creamy, dairy free cheeses from nuts and seeds. She launched Nuts For Cheese™ at a farmer’s market in 2015 and has since seen the love for vegan cheese grow across North America.
Jess and Fumi from Abokichi
Jess and partner Fumi launched their Japanese-inspired food company to make convenient, natural plant-based products for home cooks. They are committed to using nutritious upcycled ingredients in order to reduce food waste.
Jen and Michelle from Cherry Lane
Jen is a 10th generation farmer who runs Cherrylane, a 116-year-old farm in Vineland with 400 acres of cherries, peaches and pears. Every bottle of Cherrylane’s Concentrated Tart Cherry Juice is still hand bottled on the farm.
McLaughlin Sisters from Shaw’s Ice Cream
The McLaughlin sisters scooped Shaw's Ice Cream as kids, and then bought the struggling company as adults. They make old-fashioned ice cream using 100% Canadian Dairy, including all the classics and signature flavours like Unicorn Toots and Lumber Jack.
Emily O’Brien from Comeback Snacks
Emily had the idea for Comeback Snacks while in prison. Her company employs people who have done time in prison, as Emily believes everyone deserves a second chance. Comeback Snacks is sold in 800-plus locations in Canada and the U.S.
Candace Tierney from Oat & Mill
Candace is an Ottawa Valley entrepreneur who founded Oat & Mill in 2015. She is committed to sustainability and giving back to her community as she builds her line of vegan ice creams and bars, now sold at 600-plus locations.
Sharon Rotzangi from Le Presserie
Sharon was born into a passionate food business family. La Presserie is inspired by the artisanal, sophisticated food of the South of France. The company prides itself on innovation, developing cold-pressed juices, smoothies, dressings, cocktail mixers and soups.

Lisa Learning from AtlanTick
Lisa, a proud Indigenous woman entrepreneur, developed AtlanTick because she wanted a safe, effective, natural repellant, which didn’t exist in the market. What began as a solution for her family has become a trusted brand for safe, reliable tick repellents.
Ashley and Devon from Benjamin Bridge
For 25 years, Benjamin Bridge has been a force in Canadian winemaking. Its passionate team, made of 85% women in leadership roles, works to ensure its products embody the farm winery's ethos for vibrant rural communities and ecological resilience.

Jolene from Wabanaki Maple
Located in Neqotkuk (Tobique) First Nation, N.B., Wabanaki Maple is 100% Indigenous female-owned. The company mission is to reconnect people and communities to the traditional history of maple syrup, while sharing rich and memorable maple syrup flavours.

Natalia from Seven Spice
A lover of spicy food, Natalia began making chili oil with her mother, sharing it with friends and family. Today, her versatile oils, made with seven premium ingredients, can be found on store shelves in mild, hot and extra-hot.
Maureen from Souptacular
Maureen started Souptacular soups in the basement of her family home, all while raising three boys. Her nutritious soups are now carried in 200 stores as she operates the company with her husband and their three grown sons.
Alexandra from Sarjesa Tea
Alexandra launched her small tea company as a student entrepreneur. Today, her company manufactures for tea and beverage brands across North America. Alexandra is committed to fostering equity and joy and creating opportunities for women across her supply chains.

Cheryl Zealand from Cranked
On a quest for wholesome energy bars for herself and her family, Cheryl founded Cranked in her home kitchen in 2014. Her delicious high-protein bars come in 17 flavours and can be found in the refrigerated snack foods section.

Mary MacLean from Happy Dance Hummus
Mary MacLean is the founder and CEO of Happy Dance Inc., makers of six unique flavours of vegan, gluten- and dairy free hummus. The company’s latest product, Faba, is a powdered egg substitute ideal for baking and frothy cocktails.

Cate Dyck from Utoffeea
Cate launched Utoffeea at a Christmas market in 2012, where her layered toffee, chocolate and nut bark was a huge hit. Her company mission is to create joy and connection around food, one sweet bite at a time.
